High Pressure Pure Gas Supply Systems

The technology and manufacturing processes originally developed to provide safe, high-pressure gas supplies conforming to Def. Stan. 58-96 for Joule-Thomson (JT) coolers, has resulted in the creation of high integrity pressure vessels. These allow for the successful storage of gases at high pressure over long periods of time, without degradation of performance.

Honeywell Hymatic gas bottles are machined from solid and electron beam welded. This ensures consistent mechanical integrity and repeatability of structure and shape, even after successive charge / discharge cycles. Storage lives in the range of 20-25 years are typical.

The release of stored gas is most typically achieved by electrical initiation of a pyrotechnic motor, acting on a specially machined release mechanism, thus ensuring a rapid, reliable release of the stored gas.

In all cases Honeywell Hymatic manufacture high pressure gas bottles to exacting cleanliness standards, thereby ensuring that downstream components are protected from contamination.
